Creating a connection between the original bungalow and the new extension was central to the Chief St Project.
Before construction, the homeowners carefully salvaged and hand-cleaned more than 6,500 historic bricks from the existing garden paving for use on the extension's exterior.
Internally, the layout was designed to support the client's lifestyle now and into the future. While the external transition between old and new is intentionally subtle, the interior offers a more deliberate contrast. Restored character elements from the bungalow sit alongside a calm, contemporary renovation.
